Ingredients

  • 1 can pillsbury french bread
  • 1 large sliced olives
  • 4 - anaheim peppers roasted w/skins removed
  • 1/2 - yellow bell pepper
  • 1/2 - orange bell pepper
  • 1/2 - red bell pepper
  • 1 - sm onion
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup salsa, chunky
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 pound lean ground beef

How To Make mexican pizza

  • Step 1
In a skillet, saute onions, all peppers (again, make sure you have roasted and peeled the skins from the Anaheim pepper before you saute them with the rest of the ingredients), 1/2 the olives. In a separate skillet, fry beef and add taco seasoning (with 1/2 c water). Combine everything into one skillet (after beef is completely done cooking), and let simmer until water has cooked down.
  • Step 2
Turn oven on at 350 degrees. In a 10x15 glass baking dish, spray with Pam, and unroll french bread dough out in it. make sure the bread is spread out over the bottom of the dish, and up the sides if possible. As soon as oven is preheated, cook the dough for 15 minutes and remove. After removing the dish from the oven, sprinkle half the cheese over the dough.
  • Step 3
By now, the pepper mix should be completely cooked. Pour this over the cheese you have just sprinkled. Add remaining cheese and top with remaining olives. Bake for 15 more minutes. Dough should be golden brown, and cheese is bubbly.
