You can easily make this vegetarian by leaving out the meat. You could add different cheeses or even bread and fry them.

Ingredients
- 12 - jalapenos, fresh
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 4-8 ounces jimmy dean hot breakfast sausage (depends on how meaty you want them)
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
How To Make meaty jalapeno poppers

Step 1Cut the end off the jalapenos then cut them in half lengthwise and remove the seeds & membranes. I wore disposable gloves to seed the jalapenos and to stuff them.

Step 2Mix cooked sausage, cream cheese and parmesean cheese together. stuff about 1T of the cream cheese mixture into each jalapeno half.

Step 3Freeze on a cookie sheet before baking or movingto freezer containers

Step 4Bake from a frozen state at 350 for about 15-20 minutes or until done.

Step 5NOTE: These are really awesome wrapped in a 1/2 piece of bacon secured with a toothpick and grilled.
