green chili casserole
This recipe was given to me in 1993 by a friend when we used to go South. My Sons family loves it and I hope all of you will. Just to let you know.. I do not to put salt in as with all the cheese to me it has plenty of salt.

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground round
- 1 - chopped onion
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 1 small can tomato sauce (hot tomatoe sauce can be used) ( crushed tomatoes with sauce is the one she used)
- 1 pound cheddar cheese shredded
- 1- 7oz cans green chilis whole (i used diced)
- 1 pound monterey jack cheese shredded
- 2 - eggs separated
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk,
- 2 tablespoons flour
How To Make green chili casserole

Step 1Heat oven at 325* Brown the one pound of ground round until done. Add-- chopped onion and saute until softened, 1 pkg.taco seasoning and 1 small can tomatoe sauce.

Step 2Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish or pan--cover bottom with meat mix. Add 1 layer Cheddar Cheese, 1 layer green chilis and 1 layer Monterey jack cheese.

Step 3Separate 2 eggs--Beat yolks together with 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 2 tbl. flour. You can add 3/4 tsp salt if you think it needs it. Beat egg whites until fluffy--fold into yolk mix. Pour over casserole.

Step 4Bake 45 Minutes at 325* Pour tomato sauce over top. Bake another 30 Minutes Enjoy
