This recipe came from my husband who made it up by combining flavors that he liked in a hearty but budget friendly sandwich.

prep time 30 Min
cook time 15 Min
method Bake
yield 8-12 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
  • 2 packages mccormicks taco seasoning
  • 1 sm. can pork and beans
  • 12 slices american cheese
  • 24 slices sandwich style bread

How To Make erick's taco melt

  • Step 1
Brown hamburger and add taco seasoning. When meat is fully cooked add beans and cook to heat. Butter one side of bread slices. Heat a large flat bottomed skillet and place in it as many slices of bread that will fit, buttered side down. Put 1 slice of cheese on each piece of bread and cover cheese with meat mixture. Place a second slice of bread, buttered side up, on top. When bottom is golden brown flip and grill top. Serve warm with pickles, chips and a big glass of ice cold milk.
