Well, I didn't have a can of enchilada sauce so I had to make my own!! It turned out VERY tasty!!!! It was perfect with the tamale pie I made with it!!!

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne
- 1 15 ounce cans tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3/4 cup chicken stock (canned or box)
How To Make enchilada sauce

Step 1Heat oil in skillet, add flour and stir over medium heat until flour just starts to brown and smells nutty.

Step 2Add tomato sauce and stir.

Step 3Mix in all of the spices.

Step 4Add chicken stock to sauce to thin to desired thickness and heat on low for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.

Step 5Add more chicken stock as needed for consistency. Use for whatever recipe you would like!
