This is a great easy weeknight meal. Tostadas are open faced mexican crunchy tortillas with any type of filling you want to make for them. I made a vegetarian version here that took about 15 minutes to prepare! Everyone will get involved in making their own at your "Tostada Bar". Have fun.

Ingredients

  • 1 package tostada shells - crispy flat tortillas
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 6 - grape tomatoes chopped
  • 8 - black pitted olives
  • 1/4 - head lettuce shredded
  • 3 ounces mexican queso cheese - crumbled
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

How To Make easy, yummy tostadas

  • Step 1
Heat the refried beans in a pan for about 5-8 minutes. Do this on a low heat so they do not burn.
  • Step 2
Chop the onion, tomatoes, olives and lettuce and put in separate dishes.
  • Step 3
Crumble the queso cheese into another little bowl.
  • Step 4
Finally, two more little bowls for the salsa and sour cream.
  • Step 5
Now, let everyone assemble their own tostadas with all the ingredients they like. Beans first, lettuce, onion, tomato, olives, cheese, salsa and sour cream! Enjoy!
