My family loves pretty much anything Mexican or Tex-Mex. We often use this Taco Meat blend to make Taco "burgers" instead of Sloppy Joe's. This is a fun, comforting kid friendly recipe.

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning mix
  • 8 oz
    taco sauce
  • 2/3 c
  • 1 can(s)
    black beans, drained (optional)
  • 5-6 bag(s)
    individual sized dorito chips (any flavor)
  • ·
    grated cheese
  • ·
    shredded lettuce
  • ·
    chopped fresh tomatoes
  • ·
    diced green onion
  • ·
    additional toppings desired (salsa, sour cream, avocado etc.)

How to Make Dorito Pie


  1. Brown Ground Beef in Skillet. Drain Grease.
  2. Add Taco Seasoning, Water, Taco Sauce and Drained Black Beans, if desired, to browned ground beef. Simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare your desired toppings.
  4. When the meat is ready, cut the Dorito bags on the side, top the chips with about 1/2 cup of the meat sauce (or more if so desired) and allow everyone to top their Dorito Pie with the toppings of their choice.
  5. Add Fork and enjoy!
