Ingredients

  • 4 - slices of white bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups monterey jack cheese
  • 8 ounces minced green chilies
  • 6 - eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make chili rellanos casserole

  • Step 1
    Trim crusts off bread and spread one side with butter. Arrange butter side down on a 8X12 pan. Sprinkle 2 cups cheese evenly on bread, add chilies. In bowl beat eggs,mik and spices. Beat well and pour over cheese. Add remaining cheese on top. Let stand for 4 hours to overnight. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes. Let stand 1 minutes to cool
