Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 (14 oz) can(s)
    ortega whole chile peppers
  • 1 (8 oz) pkg
    shredded cheese (cheddar, mexican, or your own mix)
  • 1 lb
    pepper jack cheese (loaf or sticks)
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    minced garlic

How to Make Chile Rellenos Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray 9x12 casserole with non-stick spray.
  3. Seed chiles.
  4. Stuff each chile with a strip of pepper jack cheese and arrange in the bottom of casserole dish.
  5. Cover with shredded cheese.
  6. Beat flour, eggs, milk, salt, and garlic together and pour over cheese and chiles.
  7. Bake 50-60 minutes or until custard is set.
