double sharp cheddar meatloaf
I created this recipe with sharp and extra sharp cheddar cheeses. It's a great side dish to mac and cheese.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large vidalia sweet onion, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon sea salt mixed with black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
- 2 pounds ground chuck
- 2 egg whites
- 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
- 4 tablespoons processed cheese sauce, divided
- 2 tablespoons steak seasoning
- 1 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make double sharp cheddar meatloaf

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced vidalia onion and saute for 5 minutes or until completely tender.

Step 3Remove from the heat and season with sea salt/black pepper and Parmesan cheese. Stir in 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Set aside.

Step 4In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, egg whites, bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons cheese sauce and steak seasoning; mix well. Add the shredded extra cheddar cheese.

Step 5Press half of the meat mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Add the sauteed onion mixture and remaining cheese sauce. Spoon the remaining meat mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining sharp cheddar cheese and press it down.

Step 6Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheeses are melted. Cool completely.
