i create this meatloaf recipe with a style of Seattle Hot Dog,the topping inside the meatloaf included sauteed onions,jalapenos and cream cheese,no cabbage in this recipe,one bite it make you say HOMERUN?

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 1
    large vidalia sweet onion,peeled and diced
  • 3
    fresh jalapeno peppers,sliced
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey mustard
  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 3/4 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 2
    egg whites
  • 1
    packet dry onion soup mix
  • 2 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 c
    sweet and spicy barbecue sauce
  • 2 pkg
    cream cheese,softened
  • 1 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese

How to Make Seattle Meatloaf?

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat,add diced vidalia onion and sliced jalapenos,saute for 5 minutes or until are tender.Turn off the heat,stir in honey mustard and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl,combine ground beef.bread crumbs,egg whites,dry onion soup mix,red pepper flakes and barbecue sauce;mix well until blended.
  4. Add half of meat mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan.Spread cream cheese over the meat mixture,Add sauteed onion-jalapeno mixture and sprinkle with shredded monterey jack cheese.Top with remaining half of the meat mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.Let stand for 15 minutes before slicing
