poblano pepper glazed meatloaf
I created a new kind of meatloaf recipe. It is based on a recipe for Dill Pickle Glazed Meatloaf. I decided to use poblano peppers.

Ingredients
- MEATLOAF
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 poblano peppers, seeded and sliced
- 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium carrot, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cane syrup
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon sea salt mixed with black pepper
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- GLAZE
- 1 poblano pepper, seeded and diced
- 1/2 cup honey barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons cane syrup
- 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
How To Make poblano pepper glazed meatloaf

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.

Step 3Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add sliced poblano peppers. Cook and saute for 5 minutes or until tender and light crispy.

Step 4Season with Creole seasoning. Remove from heat.

Step 5In a large bowl, combine ground beef, diced carrots, minced garlic, cane syrup, beaten eggs, sauteed poblano peppers, Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, sea salt/black pepper, and bread crumbs; mix well. Form into a loaf.

Step 6Transfer into prepared loaf pan.

Step 7For the glaze, in a medium bowl combine diced poblano peppers, barbecue sauce, cane syrup, and brown sugar; whisk together until blended.

Step 8Spread the glaze into the meatloaf evenly.

Step 9Bake for 1 hour. Cool completely for 10 minutes before serving.
