I created a new kind of meatloaf recipe. It is based on a recipe for Dill Pickle Glazed Meatloaf. I decided to use poblano peppers.

1 Tbspolive oil

3poblano peppers, seeded and sliced

1 TbspCreole seasoning

1 lbground beef

1 mdcarrot, diced

2 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 Tbspcane syrup
-
2eggs, beaten
-
1 TbspWorcestershire sauce

2 Tbsphoney barbecue sauce

1 Tbspsea salt mixed with black pepper

1/2 cdry bread crumbs
- GLAZE

1poblano pepper, seeded and diced

1/2 choney barbecue sauce
-
2 Tbspcane syrup
-
1 Tbspdark brown sugar
How To Make poblano pepper glazed meatloaf

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Coat a 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.

3Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add sliced poblano peppers. Cook and saute for 5 minutes or until tender and light crispy.

4Season with Creole seasoning. Remove from heat.

5In a large bowl, combine ground beef, diced carrots, minced garlic, cane syrup, beaten eggs, sauteed poblano peppers, Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, sea salt/black pepper, and bread crumbs; mix well. Form into a loaf.

6Transfer into prepared loaf pan.

7For the glaze, in a medium bowl combine diced poblano peppers, barbecue sauce, cane syrup, and brown sugar; whisk together until blended.

8Spread the glaze into the meatloaf evenly.

9Bake for 1 hour. Cool completely for 10 minutes before serving.
