I have never gotten into microwave cooking. They're fantastic - vital actually - for reheating. But cooking? Eh. The other night though I had meatloaf on the menu and almost gave up on it because the idea of turning on the oven for an hour was too much to bear! In the end I decided what the bad can it be? The answer. Amazing! Half the time, a fraction of the heat and possibly better than ever!

Ingredients For meatloaf

  • 1
    egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    beef soup base (or boullion)
  • 1 c
  • 1 1/2 lb
    90% lean ground beef
  • 1 c
corn flake crumbs or bread crumbs

How To Make meatloaf

  • 1
Whip egg, Worcestershire sauce, soup base gravy & pepper together in mixing bowl. NOTE: I had leftover chicken gravy that I used even though it was a "beef" recipe. It was wonderful so dont be afraid to use what you have even if it seems "wrong". How will you ever know what's good, bad or indifferent if you don't experiment?
  • 2
Mix in beef and corn flake crumbs
  • 3
Place in a glass loaf pan.
