This is my mom's recipe. I grew up eating this meatloaf. It's so yummy that I just had to share it

Ingredients

  • MARY ELLEN D'S JUICY MEATLOAF
  • 1/2 - pound ground beef
  • 1/2 - pound italian sausage
  • 1 - egg (beaten with 1/2 cup of milk)
  • 1 - cup of canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 - cup of small diced onions
  • 1/2 - cup of small diced green bell peppers
  • 1 - 1 1/2 - sleeve of saltines
  • 1 - cup of tomato sauce or tomato soup
  • - bacon slices (to put over the top of the meatloaf [optional]
  • 1 - plastic 1 gallon storage bag (to smoosh the saltines in)

How To Make mary ellen d's juicy meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat your oven to 350° F
  • Step 2
    Mix the egg, milk, and tomatoes together
  • Step 3
    Add the ground beef & Italian sausage and mix well
  • Step 4
    Put the saltines in the 1 gallon plastic storage bag and bash the heck out of your saltines
  • Step 5
    Now. Add enough crumbled saltines to the meat mixture to form a loaf
  • Step 6
    Put the meatloaf into a bread loaf pan top it with the uncooked bacon slices and bake for 45 minutes to an hour
