1-2 lbvension roast
1 Tbspkitchen bouquet
2 pkglipton onion soup mix
3 Tbspolive oil
1 mediumonion chopped
1 stalk(s)celery chopped
2 bag(s)small baby carrot
10 mediumfingerlet potato cut in 1/2 (these are small, you can use whatever )
How to Make Vension Roast
- Rub roast down with kitchen bouquet and sprinkle 1/2 package of Lipton Onion Soup. You can add your on seasoning if you like at this point.
- Heat 1/4 of stick of butter & add olive oil to melted butter in hot skillet. Sear every side and ends of roast in hot skillet. Deglaze with water or dry red wine.
- In crock pot (turn on low) pour the other 1/2 package of L.O.S.M. in the bottom add roast and liquid from skillet.
- Add chopped onion, celery, carrots, and potato in this order. Add the other package of L.O.S.M., and cover in water. Put lid on and cook for 6 to 8 hours. Serve over rice and hot rolls, what a nice dinner to come home to after work.
