My dads recipe for ground venison. You could also use canned venison or ground beef, turkey, or chicken.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 lb
    ground venison
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 c
    chopped onions
  • 20 oz
    can of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 c
    peeled diced potatoes
  • 1 medium
    green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 c
    celery diced
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato soup
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Venison Hash

Step-by-Step

  1. Add oil to pan. Brown onions then add venison with salt and pepper. Cook until browned. Remove from pan
  2. Add remaining ingredients except cheese to pan. Simmer until veggies are soft. Add meat and onions back to pan.
  3. Pour into casserole dish.
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    Bake mixture 1 hour.
    Top with cheese and bake until melted.
