    bell pepper, halved

    celery, chopped coarsely

  • 1/2 c

    garlic, minced
  • 2
    green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    broth from goose
  • 1/2 c
    red wine
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 c
    half and half
  • 1 pkg
    long grain and wild rice, cooked
  • 4 oz
    mushroom pieces, drained, and chopped
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of mushroom sour
  • 8 oz
    pepper jack cheese, grated

How to Make Gooserole


  1. Stuff goose with sauerkraut. Place in crockpot with crab boil, onions, bell pepper, and celery. Cook on low in crock pot for 6 - 8 hours until tender. Debone goose. save broth.
  2. Saute onion, green onion, garlic and mushrooms in butter. Then mix in flour.
  3. Add stock, wine, cream, goose, and cooked rice. Add salt and pepper to taste. Place in a casserole dish, cover with grated pepper jack cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
