Ingredients

crab boil
1 jar(s)
sauerkraut

CASSEROLE

1/2 c
butter
2 clove
garlic, minced
2
green onions, chopped
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1 c
broth from goose
1/2 c
red wine
2 Tbsp
parsley
1 1/2 c
half and half
1 pkg
long grain and wild rice, cooked
4 oz
mushroom pieces, drained, and chopped
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom sour
8 oz
pepper jack cheese, grated

How to Make Gooserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Stuff goose with sauerkraut. Place in crockpot with crab boil, onions, bell pepper, and celery. Cook on low in crock pot for 6 - 8 hours until tender. Debone goose. save broth.
  • 2Saute onion, green onion, garlic and mushrooms in butter. Then mix in flour.
  • 3Add stock, wine, cream, goose, and cooked rice. Add salt and pepper to taste. Place in a casserole dish, cover with grated pepper jack cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
