I had just 2 cups of leftover turkey left from Thanksgiving, so this is what I came up with. Might I add, they were delicious...

Ingredients

  • 2 - 8 oz
    refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 - 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 c
    turkey, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    slivered almonds
  • 5 - 6
    green onions, chopped or 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 c
    celery, chopped and parcooked
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 1/4
    poultry seasoning
  • GRAVY ( OPTIONAL )

  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c
    milk

How to Make Turkey - N - Cheddar Croissants

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl; softened cream cheese.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients and stir well to thoroughly combine evenly. ( par cook celery,if you don't like it crunchy. )
  3. Flatten crescent rolls, keeping two triangles together to create rectangles. Press the perforation together to prevent the pocket from leaking.
  4. Onto each rectangle, spoon approx. 1/4 cup of turkey mixture into the center of the croissant. Fold up the long ends till they overlap. Then, roll up and pinch closed the short ends.
  5. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350 degree F. for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden.

    While baking, if using the canned soup as a gravy, prepare it by mixing the milk with the soup,and heating thoroughly.
  7. When finished baking, either serve as is or with the soup mixture.
