Another one my husband made up. (He's amazing!) This has a sweetness to it that compliments the turkey very well! You can change the amounts of the hot sauce, red pepper flakes or chili sauce to suit your heat preference. And don't let the list of ingredients intimidate you. It really is an easy recipe!

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 4-5 cloves garlic, chopped fine
- 1 - green pepper, chopped
- 1-2 stalk celery, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 can baked beans (we used bourbon & brown sugar, since we had that on hand)
- 1 can whole kernel corn
- 3-4 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves
How To Make turkey chili coronado

Step 1Heat oil in the slow cooker over medium-high heat. Add garlic, chopped pepper, celery and onion. Saute until the vegetables soften (about 5 mins).

Step 2Add ground turkey and saute until no longer pink, breaking up the meat with the back of a spoon (about 7 minutes).

Step 3Sprinkle flour over and stir to blend.

Step 4Add remaining ingredients. Stir to combine. Continue to cook in slow cooker for 1-2 hours.

Step 5Serve over rice, or with a hearty crusty bread.
