Ingredients
-
2 ccanned sweet potaoes, mashed.
-
2 Tbsppacked brown sugar
-
1/2 tspcinnamon
-
1/8 tsp & dash(es)nutmeg
-
1/3 cevaporated milk
-
1/2 cchicken broth ( reserve 1/4 c to add to onions as needed. i use swanson)
-
1/4 cfinely minced onion
-
1 can(s)cream of chicken soup
-
3 ccut up cooked turkey
-
3 Tbspwater
How to Make SWEET POTATO & TURKEY CASSEROLE
- MIX TOGETHER: SWEET POTATOES, BROWN SUGAR, CINNAMON, NUTMEG & MILK IN A MEDIUM BOWL.
- SPRAY YOUR 10" ROUND CASSEROLE DISH WITH PAM. SPOON THE MIXTURE AROUND THE INSIDE EDGE TO FORM A RING.
- HEAT THE BROTH & ONION IN A SKILLET TIL IT BOILS. YOU MAY NEED TO ADD THE OTHER 1/4 CUP BROTH AS THE ONIONS GET TENDER. STIR OCCASIONALLY.
- STIR IN THE SOUP, TURKEY & WATER. COOK & STIR TIL BUBBLING.
- SPOON TURKEY MIXTURE INTO THE CENTER OF YOUR SWEET POTATO RING.
- BAKE @ 350 DEGREES FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 - 35 MINUTES....YOU WANT THE TURKEY TO BE HOT & BUBBLING. **I LET IT REST FOR 5 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING.
