- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 packages taco seasoning mix
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 can rotel tomatoes
- 2 packages soft corn tortillas
- 1 jar picante sauce
- 1 small sour cream (or more depending on taste)
- 1 can black beans and chili beans, drained, mix together
- 1 can white queso cheese, heat till smooth & pourable
- 1 package shredded cheddar/colby/jack cheese
How To Make taco la"sonya"
-
Step 1Cook hamburger with onion, drain. Add taco mix and water, cover and cook til no longer watery.
-
Step 2In casserole dish or shallow crock pot, spray with cooking spray. Place tortillas slightly overlapping around edges and bottom of dish.
-
Step 3Start layering. Spoon burger over tortillas, then picante sauce, cheese, tortillas, burger, sour cream, picante, Queso, tortillas, keep layering end with tortillas on top. Then cover with shredded cheese.
-
Step 4Bake at 400 degrees till cheese is melted OR heat in crock pot til cheese is melted. **You can layer in any order that you prefer.* I have found that first layer of meat becomes dry if the picante sauce isn't added to the first layer.
