This is a DELISH recipe! I made this for my family, served it over a bed of rice, with some seasoned kale greens, and it was devoured!

Ingredients

  • 8 - cubed steaks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • - flour ( enough to cover steaks)
  • - vegetable oil (enough to brown steaks)
  • 2 - green peppers
  • 2 - sticks celery
  • 1 large onion
  • 20 - oz. can whole or crushed tomatoes
  • 6 - cloves garlic (finely diced)

How To Make swiss steak

  • Step 1
    Season steaks with salt, pepper, and flour.
  • Step 2
    Brown steaks on both sides in a skillet with oil. Remove and place on a plate.
  • Step 3
    Cut up the peppers, celery, and onion. Add vegetables, garlic, and tomatoes to the skillet. (if you buy the whole tomatoes, crush them slightly with a potato masher) Season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Place steaks back in skillet and bake for 2 hours at 325 degrees.
  • Step 5
    *Serve over rice.
