2 Tbsp
lime juice
1/4 tsp
cumin
2-3 lb
steak (skirt or flank)

How to Make Chile Carne Asada

Step-by-Step

  • 1Rehydrate the dried chiles which will take about 30 minutes and puree.
  • 2Whisk the chile puree, the lime juice and cumin together.
  • 3Rub the mixture on the meat, cover and let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if you can.
  • 4Bring to room temperature and cook on a medium hot grill to desired doneness.
