Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1 lb
    cooked and cleaned shrimp
  • 4 slice
    bacon
  • 2 large
    onions chopped small
  • 2 1/2 stalk(s)
    celery chopped small
  • 2 can(s)
    whole tomatoes (i use the 28 oz. size)
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato paste
  • 1 tsp
    salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 - 3 dash(es)
    red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1 clove
    finely chopped garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    worchester sauce
  • 1 large
    green pepper chopped small
  • 4 - 6 c
    steamed rice

How to Make The Best Shrimp Creole

Step-by-Step

  1. Fry bacon crisp and drain.
  2. Brown onions in bacon grease. Add other ingredients, except shrimp.
  3. Cook slowly for 1 hour. Add bacon crumbled. Add shrimp and simmer until shrimp is cooked (careful that you don't over cook the shrimp).
  4. Serve over steamed rice.
