Seared Ahi Tuna with Mojo my way

Mojo is a wonderful Cuban marinade/sauce mix. It has some tart and sweet tones to it and makes a flavorful sauce. I added my favorite chicken bouillon to amp up the flavor even more.

    ahi tuna filets
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 pkg
    knorr's home-style chicken bouillon or 1 tbsp. butter than bouillon chicken bouillon
  • ·
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice
  • 1/3 c
    lime juice
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Seared Ahi Tuna with Mojo my way


  1. Mix all ingredients for mojo together and marinate the tuna fillets for 6 hours
  2. Remove the tuna from the marinade reserving the marinade.
  3. Add olive oil and butter to hot pan over med high heat. Sear the tuna on both side.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and pour in the marinade. Add chicken bouillon. Mix well and baste tuna with sauce.
  5. cook until desired doneness of tuna. I like mine rare. Remove tuna and continue to cook the sauce until reduced to desired thickness. Serve sauce over tuna.
