Mojo is a wonderful Cuban marinade/sauce mix. It has some tart and sweet tones to it and makes a flavorful sauce. I added my favorite chicken bouillon to amp up the flavor even more.

Ingredients

ahi tuna filets
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 Tbsp
butter
1 pkg
knorr's home-style chicken bouillon or 1 tbsp. butter than bouillon chicken bouillon
mojo
1/2 c
orange juice
1/3 c
lime juice
4 clove
garlic minced
1 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
oregano
1/2 tsp
cumin

How to Make Seared Ahi Tuna with Mojo my way

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix all ingredients for mojo together and marinate the tuna fillets for 6 hours
  • 2Remove the tuna from the marinade reserving the marinade.
  • 3Add olive oil and butter to hot pan over med high heat. Sear the tuna on both side.
  • 4Reduce heat to medium and pour in the marinade. Add chicken bouillon. Mix well and baste tuna with sauce.
  • 5cook until desired doneness of tuna. I like mine rare. Remove tuna and continue to cook the sauce until reduced to desired thickness. Serve sauce over tuna.
