Makes a great dinner with fresh hot garlic bread!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked linguine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can about 14 ounces stewed italian style tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 can 10 ounces whole baby clams, drained, reserve juice
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make linguine with clam sauce

  • Step 1
    Cook linguine according to package, drain and set aside.
  • Step 2
    While pasta is cooking heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook and stir 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, garlic and basil and cook and stir 3 minutes. Stir in wine and reserved clam juice; bring to a boil and simmer uncovered about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Stir in clams, parsley, salt and pepper. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through. Spoon over linguine. Serve immediately.
