uncooked linguine
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 c
chopped onion
1 can(s)
about 14 ounces stewed italian style tomatoes, drained and chopped
2 clove
garlic crushed
2 tsp
dried basil
1/2 c
dry white wine or chicken broth
1 can(s)
10 ounces whole baby clams, drained, reserve juice
1/3 c
chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp
black pepper

How to Make Linguine with clam sauce


  • 1Cook linguine according to package, drain and set aside.
  • 2While pasta is cooking heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook and stir 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, garlic and basil and cook and stir 3 minutes. Stir in wine and reserved clam juice; bring to a boil and simmer uncovered about 5 minutes.
  • 3Stir in clams, parsley, salt and pepper. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through. Spoon over linguine. Serve immediately.
