Ingredients For japanese grilled swordfish

  • 1/2 c
    sesame oil
  • 1 c
    tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/2 c
    lime juice
  • 1/4 c
    mirin (sweet cooking sake)
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced fresh ginger
  • 3 Tbsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4
    1" thick swordfish steaks, shark or mahi mahi or chicken
  • vegetable oil

How To Make japanese grilled swordfish

    45 minutes before serving, light the grill. Half and hour before serving cover the fish steaks with the sesame oil, tamari, lime juice, mirin, garlic, ginger and pepper flakes. Let them sit 10 minutes in the marinade. Remove from the marinade and lightly dip in vegetable oil. Set the steaks on the grill and grill 5 to 7 minutes per side. When done brush with marinade and garnish with lime.
