This is one of my many newspaper clippings that are beginning to yellow. I have made it several times--and if you like that touch of spicy with you fish, this one is for you!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 bunch
    cilantro
  • 1/2 bunch
    flat-leaf parsley
  • 2 large
    cloves garlic
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    red chili flakes
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 10 oz
    grouper, cut in two pieces

How to Make Grouper with Herbs and Garlic

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat broiler. Cover broiler pan with nonstick foil.
  2. Wash, dry and coarsely chop cilantro and parsley. Mince cilantro, parsley and garlic and garlic in a food processor.
  3. Add cumin, red chili flakes, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon olive oil and process until well blended.
  4. Rinse and dry fish. Brush remaining oil on foil. Place fish in a single layer on the foil, and spread herb mixture evenly over fish.
  5. Broil fish 4 inches from heat, about 8 minutes, or until just cooked through.
