This is one of my many newspaper clippings that are beginning to yellow. I have made it several times--and if you like that touch of spicy with you fish, this one is for you!

1/2 bunch
1/2 bunch
flat-leaf parsley
2 large
cloves garlic
1/4 tsp
ground cumin
1/4 tsp
red chili flakes
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 1/2 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin
10 oz
grouper, cut in two pieces

How to Make Grouper with Herbs and Garlic


  • 1Preheat broiler. Cover broiler pan with nonstick foil.
  • 2Wash, dry and coarsely chop cilantro and parsley. Mince cilantro, parsley and garlic and garlic in a food processor.
  • 3Add cumin, red chili flakes, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon olive oil and process until well blended.
  • 4Rinse and dry fish. Brush remaining oil on foil. Place fish in a single layer on the foil, and spread herb mixture evenly over fish.
  • 5Broil fish 4 inches from heat, about 8 minutes, or until just cooked through.
