2 lbpeeled and deveined shrimp
1/2 tsptony chacheres' creole seasoning
1/2 tspworcestershire sauce
1/2 tsptabasco sauce
1 - 12 ozbeer
How to Make Fried Shrimp - My Way
- An hour before ready to prepare the shrimp. In a bowl, mix the flour, paprika, creole seasoning, salt. Now, with a whisk, whisk in the beer and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside. Let set for 1 hour.
In a deep fryer or deep skillet add enough oil until you have 3 - 3 1/2 inches. Bring oil temperature to 375 degree F.
In another dish add some flour. Dredge each shrimp in flour, then in the batter mixture. Drop into the hot oil and fry 2 - 3 minutes or until golden. Drain on paper towels and salt while hot. I do several at a time just make sure you keep them separated as you drop them in.
Serve with your favorite cocktail sauce.
