This is a hearty meal that is loaded with fantastic flavor! If you have a bigger family to feed, just double the ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 - chicken breast (boneless, skinless)
  • 1/2 package chicken smoked sausage
  • 2 stalks celery (chopped)
  • 1/2 - red pepper (chopped)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 to 1 cups water
  • 1/2 bag large cooked shrimp

How To Make creole style chicken, sausage & shrimp

  • Step 1
    Cook the rice until it is done and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Add olive oil to another pan and cook the chicken and sausage until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Add the celery, red pepper, onion and garlic to the pan and cook until the veggies are tender.
  • Step 4
    Add the cooked rice to the pan with the veggies, add the thyme, cayenne pepper and the tomato soup. Add some water if it is too thick. Stir everything together and heat to a slow boil.
  • Step 5
    Reduce the heat to low and cook for about 15 minutes. Stir in the cooked shrimp. Cover and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Serve it with some parsley sprinkled on top, if desired.
