cajun shrimp with creamy sauce

Really tasty shrimp dish. You can control how spicy you want it by adding more or less cajun seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup scallions thinly sliced divided
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • - salt to taste

How To Make cajun shrimp with creamy sauce

  • Step 1
    Season the shrimp with the cajun seasoning. Add 3 tbsp of butter to saute pan and cook the shrimp on each side about 3 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Add the rest of the butter to pan. Add garlic and the white parts of the scallions. Saute 2 minutes. Add the wine and let most evaporate scrapping up bits.
  • Step 3
    Add the flour and make a roux and cook 3 minutes. Add the heavy cream. Season to taste with salt.
  • Step 4
    Serve the sauce on the plate with shrimp on top and garnish with the green parts of the scallion.
