b-b-que shrimp
I love BBQue shrimp and have done so since my first trip to Mr.B's Bistro in New Orleans years and years ago. The flavor is fantastic. And, honestly, it is excellent whether you marinate it or not (which is why I didn't include the marinating time in the prep time below).

- 3/4 cup butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

- 2 - bay leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary

- - salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 pounds peeled or unpeeled shrimp
How To Make b-b-que shrimp
-
Step 1Wash shrimp, pat dry and place in shallow baking pan.
-
Step 2Combine all remaining ingredients in saucepan and simmer 10 minutes, then pour over shrimp.
-
Step 3Cover and place pan in fridge for 1 to 2 hours to marinate (and while I like to do this for extra flavor, it is optional--you can go straight to the oven if you are short on time).
-
Step 4Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
-
Step 5Bake shrimp until they all turn pink, stirring every 5 minutes (about 15-20 minutes total). Do not overtake or the shrimp get tough.
-
Step 6Serve with French bread to soak up the sauce.
