Ingredients
- 1 - prepared deep dish pie shell
- 3 - medium tomatoes
- 2 - medium onions
- - salt
- - pepper
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- - dill weed
How To Make traditional tomato pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 300°F

Step 2Slice tomatoes and let drain for 30 minutes on a paper towel.

Step 3Bake prepared pie shell for 10 minutes; meanwhile slice onions and sprinkle with salt and pepper

Step 4Sprinkle the drained tomatoes with salt and pepper, too

Step 5Mix grated cheddar and mayonnaise.

Step 6Layer sliced tomatoes and onions in pre-cooked pie shell, top with cheddar-mayonnaise mix, sprinkle with dill weed.

Step 7Bake at 300°F for 50 minutes
