  • 2 (5 oz.) can(s)
    tuna in water, drained
  • 1 stalk(s)
    celery diced
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    sweet relish
  • 1/2 tsp
    seasoned salt or original mrs. dash
  • 1/2 tsp
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp
    onion powder
  • 4 (1/2 in. slice
    french or italian bread
  • 4 slice
    pepper jack cheese

How to Make Tuna Melt


  1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients except bread slices and cheese until well blended.
  2. Toast the slices of bread lightly.
  3. Place slices on a rack in a broiler pan.
  4. Divide the tuna mixture evenly over the slices. Spread to the edges of the bread.
  5. Top with tomato slices.
  6. Sprinkle the top of each with 1/4 of the cheese.
  7. Heat the broiler. Broil 4 inches from the heat for 3 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  8. Serve open faced.
