How to Make Italian Sausage Hoagies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Slice the green pepper and onion into small strips.
  • 2Place sausage links in a skillet and add enough water to almost cover the links. Boil for 30 minutes.
  • 3Drain the remaining water from the skillet.
    Add the tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes.
    Arrange the pepper and onion over the sausage links.
  • 4Cover the skillet and simmer over low heat for about 15-20 minutes, until pepper and onion are soft.

    Place links on hoagie rolls and top with the sauce and peppers and onions.
