Ingredients
- 2-4 pounds beef chuck pot roast
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- 3 - carrots, sliced
- 3 - potatoes, quartered
- 3 - onions, sliced
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup beef broth or wine
How To Make crock-pot pot roast

Step 1Season the roast with salt and pepper, then coat on all sides with flour. Sear in a hot skillet to brown the outsides.

Step 2Place all the vegetables in the bottom of the crock-pot, except the mushrooms. Add the roast, then spread the mushrooms out on top. Pour in the liquid.

Step 3Place the cover on the crock-pot and cook until the meat is tender, 10-12 hours on low, or 6-8 hours on high.
