Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

2-4 lb
beef chuck pot roast
1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
salt, or to taste
1/4 tsp
freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
3
carrots, sliced
3
potatoes, quartered
3
onions, sliced
2 stalk(s)
celery, sliced
1 c
sliced mushrooms
1 c
beef broth or wine

How to Make Crock-Pot Pot Roast

Step-by-Step

  • 1Season the roast with salt and pepper, then coat on all sides with flour. Sear in a hot skillet to brown the outsides.
  • 2Place all the vegetables in the bottom of the crock-pot, except the mushrooms. Add the roast, then spread the mushrooms out on top. Pour in the liquid.
  • 3Place the cover on the crock-pot and cook until the meat is tender, 10-12 hours on low, or 6-8 hours on high.
