Ingredients
- oil - for browning - 2 - 3 tablespoons
- 3 pounds pork chops - boneless or bone in - i even use country ribs
- 1 cup sour cream
- garlic - salt & pepper - to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
- 1 package lipton onion soup mix
- 2 1/2 cups boiling water
How To Make ~ sour cream & onion chops ~
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Season chops and brown on both sides in oil, in a large skillet.
-
Step 2Remove chops and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
-
Step 3In the skillet you browned the chops in, whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. If not enough fat add a little more. Now, add the soup mix and water. Whisk so as not to have lumps. Cook until thickening some.
-
Step 4Pour onion mixture over the chops. Cover with foil and bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 30 - 35 minutes or until chops are tender.
-
Step 5Remove chops to serving plate. To the gravy in the pan whisk in the sour cream, until smooth.
-
Step 6Serve the gravy over the chops. I also make mashed potatoes. It's delicious served over them as well. Enjoy!!
