Season chops and brown on both sides in oil, in a large skillet.
2Remove chops and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
3In the skillet you browned the chops in, whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. If not enough fat add a little more. Now, add the soup mix and water. Whisk so as not to have lumps. Cook until thickening some.
4Pour onion mixture over the chops. Cover with foil and bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 30 - 35 minutes or until chops are tender.
5Remove chops to serving plate. To the gravy in the pan whisk in the sour cream, until smooth.
6Serve the gravy over the chops. I also make mashed potatoes. It's delicious served over them as well.
