My aunt gave me this recipe & I've fixed it numerous of times. We all love it and don't want it any other way. ** My country cole slaw, y'all is the best with this! great combination ** I'll give you the recipe for the sauce also, even though I normally just pour in baby rays bbq sauce instead.

Ingredients

  • 8 pounds pork butt (shoulder)
  • 1 tablespoon mild, paprika
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons hot paparika
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How To Make pulled pork

  • Step 1
    mix all ingredients together, rub all over pork., put fat side facing up in pan and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Step 2
    bake in oven at 300 Degree F. for about 4-6 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 195 Degrees F.
  • Step 3
    once done, drain grease, shred meat and mix either with bbq sauce or with the homemade sauce I will list below.
  • Step 4
    WET MIX 2 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar 1-1/3 cup water 5/8 cup Ketchup 1/4 cup brown sugar 5 tsp salt 4 tsp red pepper flakes 1 tsp black pepper **Put wet mix together in separate bowl and pour over meat. .. you may have to make this same recipe several times to get enough to cover the meat. just depends on how much pork you have.
