It's Chinese food meets barbecue. I create a first-ever fried rice recipe with loads of pulled pork.

prep time 5 Min
cook time 10 Min
method Stir-Fry
yield 6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 2 cups fully cooked shredded pork
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 3 teaspoons prepared horseradish sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
  • 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 cups chilled cooked wild rice
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 tablespoons honey barbecue sauce

How To Make pulled pork fried rice

  • Step 1
Heat sesame oil in a large, deep skillet over high heat.
  • Step 2
Add shredded pork and stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until done.
  • Step 3
Add diced carrot, chopped red onion, horseradish sauce, seasoned pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes; stir-fry for 3 minutes.
  • Step 4
Add cooked rice; stir-fry for 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Push the rice mixture to the sides of the pan forming a well in the center.
  • Step 5
Add beaten eggs to the center of the pan and cook for 30 seconds. Toss with rice mixture and stir-fry until the eggs are cooked. Stir in barbecue sauce; cook until thoroughly heated.
