I adore stir-fry. This one is fantastic tasting and very quick and easy to make with very little prep.

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork sirloin, cut up for stir-fry meat
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced into 1-2 inch pieces
  • 1 can sliced bamboo shoots, drained
  • 1 can sliced waterchesnuts, drained
  • - hot cooked rice

How To Make pork with green onions

  • Step 1
    Mix 3 Tbsp soy sauce, cold water, cornstarch, and sugar in bowl; add pork, refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Mix remaining 2 Tbsp. soy sauce, sherry, vinegar and sesame oil; set aside.
  • Step 3
    Head oil in uncovered wok at 400 degrees. Add garlic and stir-fry for 10 seconds. Add pork and stir-fry for 4 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Step 4
    Add green onions, waterchesuts and bambo shoots. Stir-fry 30 seconds. Add Sherry mixture and stir until smooth and thickened. Serve immediately over hot cooked rice.
