Fazool is an Italian slang term for pasta, and meat cooked with fagioli which is Italian for beans. Nice dish tasty with a hint of heat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 pound sweet italian sausage casing removed
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • /2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 14 1/2 ounces can italian tomatoes pureed
  • 15 ounces can white beans drained
  • 1 teaspoon crushed fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup cook pasta of choice
  • - freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh curly parsley

How To Make pork fazool with pasta

  • Step 1
    In large saucepan brown both pork and sausage with onions and garlic. Cook until done. Add white wine and let cook until almost evaporated.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients except pasta, parmesan, and parsley. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and cook on low 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add cooked pasta. Top with parmesan and garnish with parsley
