italian pizza burgers
These are a flash from the past "GOOD EATS" for lunch or dinner. There is only one meal that I remember looking forward to at high school lunch time and this is it. Now, I've made my own version adjusted to what we love. My 3 nephews and entire family love this simple & quick made meal. Spice it & season it up how your family would love these and make it your own. You'll see just how quick it'll make to your monthly menu.

How To Make italian pizza burgers
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees --- Cook up your ground beef & Italian hot sausage in a pan then drain off excess grease. While cooking the meat in a sauté pan add your olive oil & green peppers and cook for about 5 minutes or so. Add your garlic; cook for about 5 more minutes on a medium heat.
-
Step 2Add your meat back into your pan, with the peppers & garlic and add in your roasted reds as well. Now add as much sauce as you like. (Don't make it too saucy but just enough. Let this cook on a low heat while you butter your hamburger buns (both top & bottom) & sprinkle with onion salt.
-
Step 3Now, generously put a large spoonful or two on each of the half buns.
-
Step 4Sprinkle a nice amount of your mixed cheese, a little pepperoni and olives. Wrap individually with tinfoil and repeat with the rest of your buns. Cook about 15 to 20 minutes, till cheese is melted and buns are crispy on the outside. --- You can also cook them directly on a pan just watch that they don't burn. ((((This is the pizza sauce I use.))))
-
Step 5Enjoy your cheesy pizza burgers just my like husband Anthony does.
-
Step 6Right out of the oven & ready to eat.
