This recipe makes enough for my hubby and I but could be increased for more servings. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork chop
  • 4 cups dried cubed bread
  • 1 tablespoon sage
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 1/2 cup celery (diced)
  • 1/2 cup applel (diced) i used gala
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth

How To Make iowa chop and dressing

  • Step 1
    Prepare Pork Chop by making a pocket by slicing toward bone.
  • Step 2
    Stir together bread cubes,onion,celery,apples,raisens,sage,and salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Heat chicken broth slightly in microwave add butter, stir till butter is melted.
  • Step 4
    Pour broth a little at a time over bread mixture.Stiring frequently till moist.
  • Step 5
    Spray baking dish. Put chop in baking dish.
  • Step 6
    Stuff pocket of chop with dressing add remaining dressing around chop.
  • Step 7
    Bake in 375 degree oven for 1 1/2 hour.
