I use a pressure cooker and the pork is so tender and the sauce is great.

Ingredients

  • 5 clove
    garlic smashed and finely chopped
  • 2
    inch piece ginger grated
  • 1/2 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    soy sauce
  • 1 c
    pineapple juice
  • 1 c
    oyster sauce
  • 1 large
    orange juiced and zested
  • 3
    star anise
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic chili paste
  • 5 lb
    pork roast

How to Make Hawaiian Pork Roast

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients together and marinade for 24 to 48 hours.
  2. Remove pork from marinade. Pour marinade into a saucepan and reduce until thickened about 15 minutes.

  4. Place pork in roasting pan with a rack. Pour 1 cup water in bottom of roaster. Brush sauce all over pork. Roast pork at 350 degrees. basting with sauce every 15 minutes for 1 and 1/2 hours. Serve with sauce over top.
