How To Make creamy ham - swiss - noodle skillet
-
Step 1In a large bowl, add flour and just enough milk to make smooth paste.
-
Step 2Whisk into the paste the rest of the milk, mustard, dill, buillon and set aside. Have noodles prepared and set aside.
-
Step 3In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add the carrots, garlic and ham cubes. Cook until carrots are crisp tender and ham is starting to caramelize.
-
Step 4Add the milk mixture to the skillet and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until it thicken. It won't be a real thick sauce, but should coat the back of a spoon somewhat. Add the cream cheese and stir until melted. Sir in salt & pepper. Stir in the noodles, peas and cheese & heat through.
-
Step 5Serve immediately - salt & pepper to taste. Would be great served with just a tossed salad.
