Ingredients

1/8 cdark soy sauce

1/4 cregular soy sauce

1/4 choisin sauce
-
1/2 cmirin
-
1/8 cxiao hsing or shaoxing rice wine

1 tspchinese five spice powder
-
3 clovegarlic minced
-
·1 inch piece ginger grated
-
1/2 tspsesame oil
-
1/2 tspchinese black vinegar or rice wine vinegar

2 lbpork butt roast
-
1/4 cscallions chopped for garnish
How to Make Char Siu (Chinese BBQ Pork) my way
- Mix all ingredients except pork and scallions together. Marinate the pork overnight.
- Remove pork from marinade and place in roasting pan. Baste with marinade and roast at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Flip roast over and baste with marinade and roast another 30 minutes.
