This is NOT a low calorie dish. It is possibly 1200 calories a serving. Just wanted to point that out. However, it is SO worth the calories once in a while.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound velveeta cheese cubed
  • 1/2 pound colby cheese shredded
  • 1/2 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 pound monterey jack cheese shredded
  • 2 sticks butter cubed
  • 3 - eggs beaten
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 box elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 pound mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How To Make the best mac n cheese you've ever tasted

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 and spray a 13x9x2 inch pan(or even a 15 inch pan is better) with cooking spray
  • Step 2
    Put cooked macaroni into dish. Add cubed butter, velveeta, colby, cheddar, jack, salt, pepper, sugar and incorporate well.
  • Step 3
    Take sour cream and dolop it around. Beat eggs and add whole milk and evaporated milk. Pour this over the entire dish.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle mild cheddar over entire top of dish. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until top is melted (the longer you cook, the browner the top will be. This is a matter of taste. Serve hot. But you can also freeze this and microwave another day, and it's almost just as good.
