low-sodium taco seasoning
4 oz
cream cheese
14-16
jumbo pasta shells
1 1/2 c
salsa
1 c
taco sauce
1 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c
monterey jack cheese, shredded

green onions, chopped
sour cream

How to Make MEXICAN STUFFED SHELLS

Step-by-Step

  • 1IN A FRYING PAN, COOK GROUND BEEF, ADD TACO SEASONING AND PREPARE ACCORDING TO DIRECTIONS.
  • 2ADD CREAM CHEESE, COVER AND SIMMER UNTIL CHEESE IS MELTED.
  • 3BLEND WELL. SET ASIDE AND COOL COMPLETELY.
  • 4COOK THE PASTA SHELLS ACCORDING TO DIRECTIONS, DRAIN. SET SHELLS OUT INDIVIDUALLY ON CUTTING BOARD/BAKING SHEET SO THAT THEY DON'T STICK TOGETHER.
  • 5POUR SALSA ON BOTTOM OF 9x13 BAKING DISH
  • 6STUFF EACH SHELL WITH THE MEAT MIXTURE. PLACE SHELLS IN THE 9x13 BAKING DISH OPEN SIDE UP.
  • 7COVER SHELLS WITH TACO SAUCE.
  • 8COVER WITH FOIL AND BAKE FOR 30 MINUTES.
  • 9AFTER 30 MINUTES, REMOVE THE FOIL AND ADD SHREDDED CHEESES. BAKE FOR 10-15 MINUTES MORE.
  • 10TOP WITH ANY CONDIMENTS YOU'D LIKE (GREEN ONIONS, BLACK OLIVES, ETC.)
  • 11SERVE WITH SOUR CREAM AND SALSA.
