How to Make Macaroni and Cheese
- 1Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions.
- 2Melt the butter in a small sauce pan. Add the flour and cook over medium heat for one minute, stirring constantly.
- 3Gradually stir in the milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbly (gradually turn up the heat if the mixture does not thicken).
- 4Remove from heat, add cheese, and stir until melted. Add the sauce to the macaroni. Add salt, pepper, and/or paprika to taste.
