Lighten up Linguine With Clams

This is a tasty dish that you can enjoy with a happy heart. Personally I prefer whole baby clams to the ask for chopped ones.

package linguine
2 Tbsp
light margarine
1/4 c
olive oil
3 clove
chopped garlic
1 lb
fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 can(s)
(6 1/2 ounces each) chopped clams with juice
1/2 c
chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp
chopped fresh basil
1/2 tsp
white pepper
1/4 c
grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Lighten up Linguine With Clams


  • 1Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.

    Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until done to taste; drain.
  • 2Melt margarine along with the olive oil in large skillet over medium heat.

    Saute garlic and mushrooms until golden brown.
  • 3Stir in clams with juice, parsley, basil, salt and white pepper.

    Cook over medium heat until hot.
  • 4Toss with pasta until evenly coated.

    Serve garnished with Parmesan cheese.
