lighten up linguine with clams
This is a tasty dish that you can enjoy with a happy heart. Personally I prefer whole baby clams to the ask for chopped ones.

Ingredients
- 1 pound package linguine
- 2 tablespoons light margarine
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cans (6 1/2 ounces each) chopped clams with juice
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
How To Make lighten up linguine with clams

Step 1Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until done to taste; drain.

Step 2Melt margarine along with the olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic and mushrooms until golden brown.

Step 3Stir in clams with juice, parsley, basil, salt and white pepper. Cook over medium heat until hot.

Step 4Toss with pasta until evenly coated. Serve garnished with Parmesan cheese.
